Tuesday, 4-6-99
All is going well. Today I had a doctors appointment,
as usual. Seems that's one of the few things my life revolves around these days! =) All seems to be going well, I now weigh 134 lbs. etc etc. Jenny took me to the appointment, and ended up making an appointment for herself as well, because she's pregnant again. So that's interesting I suppose. I also hung out at Jenny's for a bit. Kalob is getting so big, he's completely adorable. It was good seeing them all again. Josh apparently hurt his knee at work so he was sorta limping around all over.. Didn't look like much fun. =)
We've been getting *tons* of baby stuff. From my Aunt Dawn, and my grandmother, and what not.. Some of the baby clothes being sent were baby clothes I wore, and
Ric and Shawn wore.. Others are ones that my mom wore, and my aunts and uncles wore. That's some old clothes! :) Others are my cousin Amber's and my cousin Kevin's. Mom and I went and picked out a couple of outfits to choose from for the baby to wear home from the hospital. We're also getting other baby stuff.. strollers, playpens, carseats, etc. My house is a madhouse, I swear. Mom's been washing baby clothes non stop trying to get everything ready... Cleaned my room, which was a chore, and I'm not completely finished with it yet, either. Took down the queen sized waterbed, bought a daybed/trundle (sp) bed, since it's smaller, and I got it for $150.. Must make room for a baby! :) And must make cleaner for a baby as well. Trying to figure out what all else I need. Plus trying to get stuff for when I move out too, since I basically have nothing. I probably won't be moving out until July though. So that at least gives me some time.
Mom's out of town this week, so I am under order to not go into labor, since she's an 8 hour drive or so from here. I'm due in exactly 2 weeks from today.. So I guess it'll happen any time from now until a month from now.. *nervous* :) I just hope everything goes okay! =)

Hi! :) Well today was an alright day, though I'm getting pretty damn tired these days... Had a doctors appointment yesterday :) Seems I have a lot of those these days *laugh* I guess the baby has dropped..
I'm not dialated at all though, so whatever. :) Been getting more baby stuff and organizing my room, etc. Dad and Annette sent me some presents that I got
yesterday, and Grandma sent me some changing pads that she made for me.. So that's pretty cool. Baby clothes are pretty cute. =) Don was in town this weekend, and he ended up buying a truck. Was an alright weekend, really didn't do much though. I seem to have a fairly boring life, which is fine with me at this point, because I'm so damn tired I don't feel like doing too much anyway. :) And organizing baby stuff, and my room is enough work! Plus I have lots of homework to do.. I'm sorta falling behind, or at least it feels like it. I have two papers due in Psych in 2 weeks, and an English essay due on Monday, that I haven't even started =/ I don't know what to write it on... Why do I always
have that problem? heh. Argh, Lacy is climbing on me and won't stop and it's making it hard to type =/ I hate that! Anyway, what else can I possibly write
about? =) Everyone at psych class was super surprised I was there tonight.. Seems they keep expecting me not to show up because I'll have a baby.. ;) Hehehe. Mom and I went to food tonight, and Ginger was working. She came over and looked over at me and said "oh, so you haven't popped yet" I told her I swear I will call this time, honest I will!@# She said that I better, and if I don't, this time she'll call me. She said next week, around my due date.. :) Anyhow, it's getting late and I should get to sleep, and as I said, I don't have much of interest to write about anyway. :) BYE :)

Well, life is going alright. =) I'm so completely tired
of being pregnant though.. You really have no idea. ;) Had a doctors appointment on the 20th, my due date. They decided that maybe they'd go with the April 26th due date after all, which means they wouldn't induce until May 10th. Adding extra weeks on is mean. =/ heheh, but oh well. School is going okay, we're getting a lot of work now though. I should probably be working on it now.. =/ I'm so tired of school work. Oh well, I'll do my best to get it all done. I dunno when I'm going to have the baby. :) I swear, I'm starting to
feel like it will never happen!@ :) I suppose it will though, I mean, I don't really have any choice in having it. ;) Ric is in town this weekend, he told me I'm not allowed to go into labor this weekend, because he has plans. How nice. ;) Welp, I really don't have a lot to write about.. Life is just kind of the same all the time. Doctors appointments, class, homework, being pregnant, sleeping a lot, etc. Oh yeah, and uhm.. IRC :p And of course talking Jason, because he owns me. ;) And cleaning.. and getting things ready.. *sighs* :) I'll try to write more soon. :)

Well, so much has changed@! I went into labor Sunday
night, after I wrote in here.. Only.. I didn't know I was in labor. Go figure. Not a clue in the world. Was having pains, they weren't very regular, thought "hrm.. maybe these are braxton-hicks contractions" My water broke too, but it wasn't all at once, so I wasn't sure about that either. By Monday morning I was pretty sure. Mom and I went to the hospital around noon on Monday. Labor was not fun. Heh. The contractions were pretty strong and regular, but they weren't doing much, as in, I wasn't getting dialated. So they ended up giving me medicine to induce labor and increase the strenght of the contractions.
Which, I might add, sucked big time. :p Eventually they had to give me a relaxer because I couldn't relax, and they wanted me to relax a little between contractions. Unfortunately ;) The contractions still hurt every bit as much, but I had said I didn't want pain medicine, and I didn't get any. The contractions hurt a lot.. it was back labor, so that didn't help either. I dunno, a lot of the night was a blur I guess.
Carrie Lynn was born at 12:40 am on Tuesday, April 27, 1999. She did not make this easy on me though. ;) She got stuck@@!@##$ Heh, after her head was out, they discovered that her shoulders were turned, and just would *not* come out.. So they cut me, and they had me pushing even when I wasn't having contractions, because she was in a lot of stress. But, we managed. After she was born, they immediately started working on her.. I don't know what all they were doing.. My mom was trying to distract me. I was just laying there bleeding all over (i'm sure you all want to know this) but they had to work on Carrie first.. After awhile they said she was okay, and my doctor came to fix me up. There was blood everywhere.. At the time I didn't realize that there was anything wrong with this, since I didn't know how much blood there should be as I've never had a baby before. Apparently they were debating on giving me a blood transfusion because I had lost so much.. Anyhow. They stitched me up and ran lots of tests on me.. And then I got to hold her.
Carrie weighed 7 lbs., 10 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches.. She's also completely adorable, though, I guess I might be biased. ;) *Grin* Both of us are doing fine, just getting to know one another. She's asleep right now.
I'll get pictures as soon as I can, but none have been developed yet. Anyhow, I'm pretty tired, and since Carrie is sleeping, I best join her before she wakes
up again.
