About Me

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to write here. I don't consider myself to be a very interesting person, but I suppose I'll try to ramble on for a bit, since you obviously came here to read about me.

My full name is Paige Lynn Mandera.. Paige, because my mother liked it. She had known a lesbian (no, I'm not joking) named Paige, so I'm sort of named after her.. erm.. Lynn, from my mother, since that is also her middle name. I'm 19 years old, was born on July 16th, 1980, and I live in Helena, Montana. I've lived here since around 1991. Originally I'm from the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area. I moved to Merced California when I was 6, to Winton California when I was 7, to Erie Pennsylvania when I was 8, and to Helena when I was 11.

I didn't graduate from high school, and instead got my GED. Since so many people ask why, and I hate discussing it, I'll write out why here, so you can just read it. ;) At the beginning of freshman year, I got really depressed, and started hanging out with a bad group of people. I got into drugs, drinking, partying, skipping school, and a few other things. I was basically very self destructive, and I did everything in my power to hurt myself more. I didn't care about anything, and I felt as if I hated everyone. I've been fighting my depression since then. By the time I started getting back on my feet, the school and teachers hated me so much, I didn't really get a chance. I'd get sent to the office my first day in class for nothing, with the teacher telling me to drop the class. I ended up dropping out junior year, around November of 1996, and I got my GED in the fall of '97.

I don't currently have a job. I'm currently enrolled a local college here in town. I took two classes last semester (Spring).. English Composition and Introduction to Psychology. And this fall I will be taking Introduction to Sociology and I *think* Introduction to Microcomputers *Yawn* ;) I still have to make up my finals from Spring semester though due to the fact that I had to take an incomplete.

I IRC way too much.. I chat on EFnet. mainly. I use several different nicknames on there. You can find me as Paige, Persence, Paige_, PaigeLynn, or Paige-. I am most often found in #714 and #dz, though I can be found in other channels at times. Download mIRC if you are unfamiliar with IRC, and come visit. =)

Other times I go out with friends, though not as much these days. :) But even before I didn't go out with them all the time, becuase I really enjoy having time to myself.. Which I don't get a lot of these days. ;) But I do enjoy going and hanging out with them at times. ;)

I also enjoy working with stained glass. I made 4 projects in a class I was taking, and then made 3 projects I was selling to some people. I then made Christmas presents for my grandmothers, and a couple of projects for my mom. :) I haven't had a chance to work on stained glass sinec shortly after Christmas though, unfortunately.

And I was decorating cakes for awhile, though I haven't decorated any for awhile. In May 1998, I made a wedding cake for my mother's wedding, which was *quite* a project. ;) I also made another cake for my brothers *anti* wedding (which is a long story in itself) in June 1998. Both turned out ok, I think. I have also made severly other cakes, for no certain occasions ;)

What else do I do? I used to sleep a lot, and I still do love to sleep ;) Maybe too much. =)

A very special, important aspect of my life, that is new to me--I'm a mother to Carrie Lynn. She was born on April 27, 1999, at 12:40 am. I've learned so much from her in this short time. She's now 3 months old, and simply amazing. =) She's also adorable, if you ask me anyway. =) I should have a page up for her soon.. I have pictures of her up though. =) http://www.tmcom.com/~paige/pictures/carrie/ She's a great girl, pretty happy overall. She's been teething for quite some time already, and even that doesn't make her too cranky. She's always full of smiles and laughs and can brighten anyones day. She learns things so quickly and I love to just sit and watch her, to just hold her close to me, and to play with her. I love to watch her sleep. Overall, I love her very much ;)

Carrie and I moved out recently. I'm renting a place from my stepfather which is only like 2 blocks away. It's small, but I like it that way. It's perfect for Carrie and I, though maybe a little too hot during the days in the summer.. Must get air conditioning! *laugh* We've only been there since the beginning of August, so this is new to us. Probably matters more to me than to her though, I'm sure. We're over at Mom's a lot anyhow, to help let the dogs out, etc. Since when Mom is out of town, and Shawn's always busy, someone has to let them out.

My name Paige is said to mean -- As Paige you are rather serious-minded, responsible, and stable. I enjoy people. I like meeting new people and learning all I can about them.. (reading them) I'm also very fond of memories, both good and bad. Most of my memories I wouldn't trade for anything in the world (though there are a couple of things I wish I could forget). I like lightning storms, rainbows, rain, and sunsets. I like getting mail, though I'm terrible at sending mail. I like to write just about anything, read about anything, going to dinner with my mom, and Days of our Lives. I like stuffed animals, traveling, being happy, poetry, music, and animals, my friends and my family. I love hugs, I'm addicted to them. I like to cuddle, and to love and be loved. I love Brittany and Alicia, the girls I baby sit for. I like Pennsylvania, and strawberries.

I dislike people who are rude, and self-centered. I don't like being taken advantage of, or people who take advantage of other people. I don't like bugs, especially spiders, and bees. I dislike cold weather, being bored, arguing, feeling helpless. I hate people talking behind other people's backs, people who are fake, fighting.. I don't like power trips, racism, violence, drunk drivers (5/28/98), cheating.. I dislike lies. I dislike death, and I dislike life.
