On 5/14, I finally did it.. I put down some paint on Little Devil, after replacing most of the sheetmetal and doing some body work and fixing up all of the various things mangled in the February roll-over..
Here is is, ready for paint.
Scott came by to help get me started on the job..
Before I got started, I threw out a few schemes for fellow Binder folk to provide feedback on.
Paint Schemes
John Donnelly had the "winning" idea by incorporating the Scout Light Line logo.
Here's the first coat of Zero Rust Black going down. Michelle took pictures.
And skipping ahead, the mostly finished product.
and working my way around the rig.

Spraying the interior of the rear
And after the first coat.
After the first coat, we decided the HF HVLP gun wasn't working like it should (I later discovered it was probably improperly assembled by me) and we switched to the conventional gun with much better results.
More paint..
In between coats
Spraying the 4th and final coat of ZR Black.
I allowed roughly 30 minutes flash time between coats.
I thinned the ZR roughly 10% in the gun cup by splashing some Lacquer thinner into the cup and adding some paint, then mixing.
Instead of scooping the hood to clear the air cleaner, I decided to leave it open slightly. It also helps hide some of the fitment issues.
You might see globs of paint on the passenger hood section - thanks to the poorly assembled HVLP gun.
And here it is on Sunday, 5/15, after 4 coats of ZR black, 3 coats of ZR Crystal Coat Clear, and drying overnight.
With the base coats down, I started masking off the "SLL Stripe"
Then fogged on some tractor "Implement" IH Red paint from 2 spray cans.
Took 2 days..
