With my '72 tied up in litigation, I've been watching my timeline for building it up slip farther and farther out of reach. I want to have a truck with some mods to take to the "Divide Ride 98" trail ride

So, once I came to that realization, I decided that my '77 Scout II would get some treats.. Long term plan for this truck is to run 33s, have a V8 (probably), and be look "respectable"

Knowing that at some point the '77 would get a lift and such.. I just decided to accelerate my timeline.

I installed a 4" Skyjacker Softride suspension lift

I then bought two new Cooper Discoverers in 31x10.5s.. I wanted 32s or 33s, but I couldn't afford to replace all 5 tires, and two of my BFGs really needed replaced.

I just finished installing the close ratio T19 4spd into the '77. Sunday and Monday I plan on putting my extra Dana 20 back together, complete with new gaskets n' seals, and twin-stick modified shift rails. I'll then throw this into the Scout, and I'll have twin-stick ability.
Sunday I plan on installing.. a Lockright locker into the front end! Combined with my rear Tracklok, I should be a rather formidable off-road rig!.
I'm also hoping to install my hand-throttle this weekend

I purchased a used BesTop full soft-top.. much nicer than my Bikini when it comes to rain or cold nights..

I added On-board Air to my Scout.. now I have compressed air anywhere I go!

Future plans call for a 1" body lift, and some trimming.. combined with an extra rear leaf and/or longer rear shackles to clear 33s. I'll also be changing out my Scout II front disc calipers for Ford F250 parts, and longer Ford brake lines. Install my roll-cage.. add a second battery and the reserve tank for my on-board air..

I'll add more details when I think (dream) 'em up.. :-)
